University of Southern California (USC) Trojans Heisman Trophy Winners - 7 Total Recipients

!±8± University of Southern California (USC) Trojans Heisman Trophy Winners - 7 Total Recipients

There have been seven football players from the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans who have won the Heisman Trophy. The seven football players that have won the seven Heisman awards are as follows:

Mike Garrett, a halfback, won in 1965 O.J. Simpson, a tailback, received the award in 1968 Charles White, a running back, accepted the honor in 1979 Marcus Allen in 1981 became the fourth running back from USC to win the award Carson Palmer was the first quarterback for the Trojans to win the award when he accepted it in 2002 Matt Leinart played quarterback for the University of Southern California and received the Heisman award in 2004 Reggie Bush in 2005 was named the fifth USC running back to take home the award

With a total of seven Heisman Trophies produced by Southern Cal the institution of higher learning based in Los Angeles, California is tied for the most received by any school. Both the University of Notre Dame and Ohio State University each match the impressive number of seven trophies by a single school. Because Ohio State has the distinction of producing the only two time winner in Archie Griffin Notre Dame and the University of Southern California actually stand together as the only two colleges to produce seven different winners.

The Heisman Trophy is named after football pioneer John Heisman and was first bestowed upon Jay Berwanger of the University of Chicago in 1935. Over the decades the award has become widely accepted as the most highly touted and prestigious individual accolade in the sport of college football. Despite the association of the Heisman being given to the most outstanding college football player, winning the honor has proved to be no guarantee of professional success.

In terms of the seven Trojans players who have had the honor of winning the Heisman Trophy two of those men transitioned from college football to the National Football League (NFL) as the number one overall picks of the NFL Draft in their respective years. The two players chosen with the first pick of the first round in NFL Drafts are Orenthal James (O.J.) Simpson who was taken by the Buffalo Bills in 1969 and Carson Palmer who was selected with the first pick of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Despite slipping to the number 10 overall pick by the Los Angeles Raiders in 1982 Marcus Allen joined O.J. Simpson in 2003 as the only two former USC players to win Heisman Trophies and be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Medicare & Medicaid Doctor Directory - How to Find Doctors Who Accept Medicare and Medicaid

!±8± Medicare & Medicaid Doctor Directory - How to Find Doctors Who Accept Medicare and Medicaid

If you are receiving Medicare and/or Medicaid, it can often be difficult to find a doctor, be it a general practitioner or specialist, who will accept your insurance. Unfortunately the payment schedules set up by the government have resulted in many doctors opting out of the system because they simply cannot afford the substantially lower payments for Medicaid/Medicare services as well as afford to pay for the substantially greater paperwork involved in taking such patients.

Sadly, government has had a tendency to reduce reimbursement payments, not increase them, and do not seem to be interested in covering the actual cost of providing services.

Not only that, but private insurers are not longer willing to "subsidize" public patients by paying higher rates, so doctors cannot shift the ever-increasing costs to them.

As a result, at a time when more and more doctors are opting out of the system, those doctors who still take Medicare and Medicaid patients generally limit the number they will serve, so finding a doctor who will take your Medicare or Medicaid insurance is not as easy as simply opening the phone book and making a phone call. Indeed, it probably will take some real time and effort on your part.

There is not, and never has been, any requirement that doctors treat patients insured by Medicare or Medicaid. Therefore, people with Medicare or Medicaid are increasingly turning to federally funded clinics, or even to emergency rooms that cannot, by law, turn them away. Sadly, using emergency rooms for non-emergency health care is unbelievably expensive, making the lower reimbursement Medicare/Medicaid rates not financially wise in the long run.

So, how do you find a doctor that will take new Medicare/Medicaid patients?

Well, first of all, do not expect to find a doctor or, should you find one or a clinic taking Medicare/Medicaid patients, do not plan on getting an appointment quickly. Sadly, that will not happen very often. Indeed, if you need quick care, the emergency room is likely to be your only recourse.

To track down Medicare/Medicaid providers, you can contact your local health department or social service agencies to find out more information and there are a number of Medicare and Medicaid doctor directories online. While they cannot guarantee you an appointment, they do have access to information about current providers.

You can also go to the Medicare website at Medicare.gov or call them at 800-633-4227 (TTY 877-486-2048) to find Medicare providers in your area, although there is no guarantee they will be accepting new patients. It is worth a try, though.

Also, managed care is probably a better bet than private practice. HMOs organized by private insurers have a practical interest in having HMO doctors taking government-insured patients, while Prepaid Health Plans (PHPs) are generally run by hospitals or medical schools, and often only accept Medicaid patients.

80's Fancy Dress

!±8± 80's Fancy Dress

Great films, sexy musicians and elegant fashion divas were abound in the eighties. 80's fancy dress include outfits worn by Madonna, Michael Jackson and Princess Diana. Shoulder pads, knitwear and power suits were fashionable in the 80's. Character 80s fancy dress would include a Harrison Ford 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' outfit and a host of star wars characters. A costume for four would be the ghostbusting team of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis. You get to wear a beige jumpsuit with a Ghostbusters logo and a proton pack and gun. Great fun to slime the guests with some green goo!

Eighties fashion statements:

Shoulder pads

Ladies dresses, sweaters, tops and T shirts had large shoulder pads that had survived the seventies and were carried through to the eighties. Dallas and Dynasty' glamorous looks helped define the eighties power women, along with the more moderate Margaret Thatcher's suits. These make fabulous fancy dress costumes. Buy a pair of shoulder pads to pin into your jacket or blouse. And if you have nothing in your wardrobe or your mum's wardrobe that will suit, scour the charity shops or internet for an authentic looking womens power costume.

Knitwear

Team a pair of high waisted trousers with a soft and fluffy cardigan for an excellent 80's fancy dress outfit. Eighties women loved knitwear. Ornately decorated sweaters were worn with skirts or trousers. Colours were bright and bold: Purples, blacks, fuchsia pinks, emerald greens and winter whites. Large fluffy mohair sweaters and cardigans were decorated with sequins, beads and appliqué. Motifs ranged from large elegant satin designs to small funky cotton motifs. Batwing sleeves were easy to wear and they made a comeback. Beads and appliqué were prolific on evening dresses and also on T shirts and knitwear.

Accessories

Large plastic sunglasses came in a range of colours. Madonna wore fishnet tights and fingerless gloves and tight laced corsets. Corsets were worn as either eveningwear or lingerie. Tights and stockings were coloured and patterned. Fluorescent beads, glitter mousse, Dr Martens, one earring and plum coloured hair were often worn together. A fabulous assortment to choose from for an 80s fancy dress costume. Something for everyone!

Make-up

Bold pink cheek bones and painted eyes were the hallmark of the eighties. The eighties' ladies spent hours in front of the mirror perfecting their make-up. Eyeshadow came in any colour with bright blues and greens being favourite. Plenty of eyeliner and a shiny red lipstick to finish off. If your fancy dress outfit needs bold make-up you should find an excellent range of colours at your fancy dress store.

80s fancy dress can take in any length of dress or skirt and most colours of make-up and accessories. Carry on the bold bright theme of the 1970s and add some fishnet stockings and fingerless gloves and you can't go far wrong.

NFL Point Spread Picks Week 3

!±8± NFL Point Spread Picks Week 3

DENVER BRONCOS (-3.5) VS. Jacksonville Jaguars: The Broncos visit the Jaguars in Mile High as both teams come off a win in Week 2. The Jay Cutler era is off to a great start (2-0), while the David Garrard era has been less than smooth for the 1-1 Jaguars. The Broncos have used new RB Travis Henry early in games to help open up the passing lanes for Cutler and things should be no different here. The Jags played much better run defense against the Falcons, after getting shredded by the Titans in Week 1. Pro Bowl DT's Marcus Stroud and John Henderson will force Henry to run outside in order to find decent running room. Cutler in turn will be able to throw on the Jaguar secondary, which is weak beyond corner Rashean Mathis. For the Jaguars, RB's Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew have not gotten the type of yardage they gathered last season, which has hurt the passing game due to the fact Garrard has had to throw in way too many third-and-long situations. The Broncos have struggled against the run so far this season and so the Jags should be much better offensively due to a better running game. The Jaguars will still have trouble throwing however as Denver has star CB Champ Bailey around to shut down half the field.
The Broncos are the much more talented team here and we are surprised this line is not higher. The problem for Denver is that they have barely gotten by two weak opponents (Buffalo, Oakland) and if they don't run the ball, then they will struggle. The Jaguars have two of the best DT's in the game as we noted above and those two could very well bottle up the Bronco rushing attack. Look for a close one here. THE PICK: Jacksonville Jaguars (+3.5)

******BEST BET*****NEW YORK JETS (-2.5) VS. Miami Dolphins:

****BEST BET*****OAKLAND RAIDERS (-3) VS. Cleveland Browns:

****STRONG OPINION*****NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-16.5) VS Buffalo Bills:

******BEST BET*****Indianapolis Colts (-5.5) VS. HOUSTON TEXANS:

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-8.5) VS. San Francisco 49ers: Great match up here as the 2-0 49ers visit the 2-0 Steelers in Pittsburgh. Both teams have been very efficient defensively and have run the ball well on offense. This has the makings of a low scoring, grind-it-out affair that will eat up the clock. The Steelers will again lean on RB Willie Parker who has run for over 100 yards in both of their games so far this season, which has proven to be a very effective way to open up the passing game for QB Ben Roethlisberger. The same goes for the 49ers as star RB Frank Gore ran for a big TD last week against St. Louis, while made up for a lackluster passing game by QB Alex Smith. Smith has struggled so far in both 49ers wins but his ability to use his feet to escape the pocket will be very valuable against a tough Steelers pass rush. Look for the 'Niners to take advantage of the short passing game as Smith will try to find seams underneath to help keep the pressure at bay.
This game will be a tough affair for both with a lot of hard-hitting defense and clock management being the main storyline. The Steelers are much better equipped to succeed under these types of game scenarios and they should use the home crowd to once again take control of a young team like they did last week against Buffalo. THE PICK: Pittsburgh Steelers (-8.5)

CHICAGO BEARS (-3) VS. Dallas Cowboys: The surprising Dallas Cowboys head into Soldier Field to take on Chicago Bears in an early season heavyweight battle between two prime NFL contenders. The Bears once again are struggling offensively as they barely beat a terrible Chiefs team at home last week, while the Cowboys continue to roll offensively as they went into Miami and easily handled the Dolphins. Dallas QB Tony Romo has been fantastic through two games and he certainly looks like the real deal. After getting shredded by the Giants during opening week, the Dallas defense responded with a nice game against Miami by picking off four Trent Green passes. If the defense can continue to play at such a high level, then things truly can be special for this Cowboys squad. Despite their offensive struggles, the Bears defense is still top-notch and will certainly be the biggest test for Romo and Co. The Cowboys will not find the type of passing lanes with Bear CB's Charles Tillman and Nathan Vasher in the secondary as they did against the Giants and Dolphins. So look for Romo to find his favorite target, TE Jason Witten who will face a pivotal battle against MLB Brian Urlacher. If Witten can win this battle, then Dallas will be in business. If Urlacher wins, then the Cowboys could find themselves bogged down on the offensive side of the ball. For Rex Grossman, he must try and find some consistency and soon as the Chicago fan base is growing increasingly impatient with his turnover-filled ways. The Dallas secondary can be thrown on and so Grossman has the chance to get himself on track. RB Cedric Benson's 100-plus yard effort last week was big news as his production is tied in to what Grossman will be able to do throwing the ball. The home crowd should be raucous with the nationally hated Cowboys coming into town so look for a bigger boost on both sides of the ball for Chicago. Special teams will also play a role here as both kickers might be called on to make kicks in what is expected to be a low-scoring game.
The Cowboys have a good chance to be 3-0 against a flawed Bears team but the fact they are playing the second in back-to-back road games is a red handicapping flag. Teams that have won and covered their first game on back-to-back road games have gone 10-21-1 ATS in the second road game. The Bears are due for a lockdown defensive game and Grossman is also due for a decent passing game. The Bears will win a squeaker. THE PICK: Chicago Bears (-3)

*******WASHINGTON REDSKINS (-4) VS. New York Giants*******STRONG OPINION

BALTIMORE RAVENS (- VS. Arizona Cardinals: The Ravens and Cardinals both got on the board last week as Baltimore barely knocked off the Jets at home, while Arizona held on for an impressive victory over the Seahawks. For the Ravens, the availability of QB Steve McNair is still in question as backup Kyle Boller played well last week in his place. Despite whoever does wind up starting, the Ravens passing game have been shaky this season despite having decent weapons on WR's Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton, along with TE Todd Heap. The Cardinals have gone through similar struggles as QB Matt Leinart has failed to consistently get the ball to his star WR duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. The big disparity between these two teams are found in their defensive units as the Ravens once again are one of the best in the league, while the Cardinals still give up a ton of yards. You can't deny the talent on this team however and last week's win over Seattle was big in that these were the types of games the Cardinals habitually found a way to lose. The fact that they were able to hang on and win against a decent opponent could signal that this team has figured out how to win and to realize their vast potential. Confidence will be high going into Baltimore and we expect a good effort by Arizona.
The Ravens have the advantage of playing at home and they will be extra focused after almost throwing away last week's game against the Jets. The Ravens are also very tough as a home favorite against a non-division foe as they have gone 19-5-1 ATS when hosting a non-division foe. Look for a big effort here from the Ravens. THE PICK: Baltimore Ravens (-

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-2.5) VS. Minnesota Vikings: The Chiefs played a very inspired game against a very tough Bears team on the road last week, while the Vikings offense prevented Minnesota from winning a game the Lions begged them to win. Particularly troubling for the Vikings was the horrid performance by QB Tarvaris Jackson who clearly looks like he is not ready for the full-time starting job as he threw for 4 interceptions and missed many open receivers. Coach Brad Childress has stated Jackson will start again this week and that should be good news for the Chiefs who played much better on defense last week, although it was against a struggling Bears offense. The Chiefs have ultra-talented RB Larry Johnson to fall back on and expect to see a large dose of him running against a very good Vikings run defense. QB Damon Huard should find some passing lanes to throw to as Minnesota's secondary is a clear weakness on an otherwise solid defensive unit. Huard has had trouble locating star TE Tony Gonzalez so far this season but this is the type of match up where there should be ample opportunities for the two to connect for some decent yardage. If Huard is in fact able to get the ball to Gonzalez as we expect, then this should open up enough running room for Johnson to be able to make some good gains.
The Vikings passing game as we noted is a mess and things will continue to go south as long as Jackson is starting. He has decent speed but his passing mechanics are terrible and the Vikings would be much better off with backup Kelly Holcomb starting. Adrian Peterson found the going a little tougher last week against Detroit and we the jury is still out on whether he can carry the full rushing load for the duration of the year. The struggles of the offense will give the Chiefs a prime opportunity to get on the board with their first win and don't think that they don't realize this. No team wants to start 0-3 and so extra motivation will be on the side of Kansas City. Arrowhead is one of the toughest places in the league to play and this will further impact Jackson in a negative way. The Chiefs take one at home in front of their crazed crowd. If Jackson misses this game with injury (he has a strained groin) then stay away from this one. THE PICK: Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5) (only if Jackson plays or else pass)

*****STRONG OPINION****San Diego Chargers (-4.5) VS. GREEN BAY PACKERS:

******STRONG OPINION****TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-3.5) VS. St. Louis Rams:

*******BEST BET*****Carolina Panthers (-3.5) VS. ATLANTA FALCONS:

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-6) VS. Detroit Lions: The Eagles have been a huge disappointment as their 0-2 start has many in Philly land questioning how good this team really is. QB Donovan McNabb looks rusty after missing the second half of last season with injury and he is already hearing the boo-birds from the Philly faithful. The running game has also struggled as RB Brian Westbrook hasn't yet had the type of big game he routinely achieved last year. This team is still very talented and in the weak NFC, they still have time to right the ship and be a solid contender. They need a win first and they get a 2-0 Lions team that is gaining confidence after consecutive hard-fought wins over the Raiders and Vikings. Off course both of those teams are in the bottom third in the league talent wise so let's not go overboard with their early run. The Eagles are sitting on a big game and the Lions are the type of self-destructing team that gets affected by the type of raucous crowd they will see in Philadelphia. QB Jon Kitna is always prone to interceptions and the solid Eagles defense will put the heat on him throughout. Look for Philly to put it all together in a dominant home win. THE PICK: Philadelphia Eagles (-6)

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-3.5) VS. Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals were absolutely humiliated last week against the Browns in Cleveland as they allowed Jamal Lewis to run for over 200 yards against them and Derek Anderson to throw for 5 TD's!!!!! Giving up over 50 points is disgraceful and it won't get any easier against a Seattle offense has that even more weapons than the Browns. Offense is not a problem for the Bengals either as QB Carson Palmer racked up a ridiculous 6 passing TD's which helped WR Chad Johnson gain over 200 receiving yards. Those types of numbers won't be repeated against a decent Seattle defense but this game figures to be an offensive battle.

The Seahawks haven't gotten totally on track but this is still almost the same team that went to the Super Bowl two seasons ago. RB Shaun Alexander is once again running with confidence and QB Matt Hasselbeck is growing more and more comfortable with WR Deion Branch. The 'Hawks need this one due to the fact they are then heading out onto to the road for back-to-back tough opponents waiting for them in San Francisco and Pittsburgh. The Seahawks should put up a good number of points on a very weak Bengals defense and they should also be much more resistant to the Palmer-Johnson air show. The Seahawk crowd is also possibly the loudest in the league and so it all adds up to a Seattle win and cover. THE PICK: Seattle Seahawks (-3.5)

NFL Offense and Defense Ranking - Best and Worst Offenses and Defenses, Week 14 Balanced Ranking

!±8± NFL Offense and Defense Ranking - Best and Worst Offenses and Defenses, Week 14 Balanced Ranking

This is the balanced offense and defense ranking for the pass and the run. The difference between this ranking and other rankings is that it looks at how well a team performs in each strategic area of the field. Coaches look at the areas that they can perform the best and plan to attack the weak spots in the defense.

Passing Offense

#1 Indianapolis Colts - They are consistent on their ability to throw the ball. Peyton Manning is still one of the best quarterbacks even with the turnovers.

#2 Dallas Cowboys - The Cowboys have had issues this year and Jon Kitna is performing better than people hoped. He has 11 touchdowns.

#2 New Orleans Saints - The Saints are tied with the Dallas Cowboys. The Saints started slower than expected this year and are becoming stronger each week. Drew Brees has 3,634 passing yards and 25 touchdowns.

#4 San Diego Chargers - The Chargers have statistically been on top most of the season. They are starting to slip. Phillip Rivers is a top quarterback with 24 touchdowns and 3,642 yards.

#5 Denver Broncos - This is the bright spot for the Broncos. They can throw the ball. Kyle Orton has 20 touchdowns with 3,487 yards.

#6 Philadelphia Eagles - They started with Kevin Kolb and big expectations. Michael Vick stepped in due to Kolb's injury with a lot to prove. Vick is doing well and is not thought of as a passing quarterback but he is showing he can step up. Vick has 2,243 passing yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 6 touchdowns.

#7 Detroit Lions - That is right the Lions can throw the ball. They have also had injury problems at quarterback. Is this a theme this year? Shaun Hill stepped in for Matthew Stafford. Hill has 13 touchdowns and 2,206 passing yards. Stafford has yet to practice this week.

#8 New England Patriots - The Patriots are becoming a dominant team again. Bill Belichick is putting together another strong offense. Tom Brady has 3,029 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. They are using many different receivers this year and Wes Welker is leading with 672 yards and 7 touchdowns.

#8 Cincinnati Bengals - The Bengals are tied with the Patriots for 8th place. Carson Palmer has 20 touchdowns and 3009 passing yards. Terrell Owens is coming into his own, again, with 961 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns.

#10 Green Bay Packers - The Packers have a strong passing offense and with better protection of Aaron Rodgers it will only get better. Rodgers has 3,243 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. Greg Jennings has 11 touchdowns and 944 receiving yards.

#29 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Buccaneers have had flashes of dominance this year. Josh Freeman has 2,442 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.

#30 Oakland Raiders - This is the weakness for the Raiders. Who is the quarterback? Jason Campbell was replaced and Bruce Gradkowski is now injured. J.T. O'Sullivan was just signed. It looks like Campbell is starting again. Campbell has 1,439 passing yards and 8 touchdowns.

#31 Carolina Panthers - This is a major area that needs improvement if the Panthers are going to become a playoff contender. Jimmy Clausen and Matt Moore have not succeeded in their roles as quarterbacks.

#32 Tennessee Titans - Still ranked in last place as a passing offense. Five game losing streak and last in the pass go hand in hand. Vince Young and Kerry Collins have both started this year. Both of these quarterbacks have been successful in the past. It makes you wonder what is wrong?

Passing Defense

#1 San Diego Charger - They are only giving up 186.2 yards a game. This is fantastic and they should win more with this type of passing defense.

#2 New Orleans Saints - The Saints are getting better each week. The Saints weakest area is the right side. They are excellent defending the middle of the field.

#3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Buccaneers have lost two games in a row and this is not the reason why.

#4 Indianapolis Colts - The Colts play the Titans tonight and should continue to dominate in this category against the worst passing offense.

#4 Oakland Raiders - The Raiders are tied with the Colts. The pass defense gives up 206.8 yards a game. They are more balanced on their defense. There is not one area that is a huge target.

#29 Dallas Cowboys - The Cowboys are playing from behind a lot and giving up the passing yards is a reason why.

#30 Seattle Seahawks - If the Seahawks want to continue to challenge for the NFC West they need to improve this passing defense. They give up 120 yards a game just on the right side of the field.

#31 New England Patriots - If something is going to hurt the Patriots this is the area that teams can get them. Passing against the Patriots is a safe bet.

#32 Houston Texans - The Texans are sliding and the pass defense needs to step up if they want to salvage this season.

Rushing Offense

#1 Kansas City Chiefs - The reason the Chiefs are a surprise this year is their rushing offense. It has stepped up to be the best in the league. Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones are a great combination.

#2 Oakland Raiders - They didn't start off as a power rushing team. They are developing into this. Darren McFadden is becoming a threat. He has 870 yards and 5 touchdowns. The lack of touchdowns is a negative.

#3 New York Jets - The passing game is not the strongest but the rushing game is tops. LaDainian Tomlinson, Shonn Greens and Tony Richardson are all great backs to have. Both Tomlinson and Richardson did not practice but not due to injury.

#3 Philadelphia Eagles - The Eagles are climbing up the rushing offense charts. This is partly due to Michael Vick and his ability to run the ball. LeSean McCoy has 823 yards and 7 touchdowns. Vick has 467 yards

#5 Houston Texans - Here is the offensive strength for the Texans. Arian Foster is having a great season with 1,230 yards and 13 touchdowns.

#6 New York Giants - Another NFC East team that can run the ball. The Giants have Ahmad Bradshaw with 1,013 yards and 7 touchdowns. Brandon Jacobs is a great rotating running back. Jacobs has 577 and 7 touchdowns. Bradshaw did not practice because of his wrist.

#7 Minnesota Vikings - The Vikings have one of the best running backs with Adrian Peterson. Peterson has 1,123 yards and 11 touchdowns. The running game started slower than expected this year and is coming on strong. Toby Gerhart is a rookie that can plough forward. He had his best game last week and a season total of 216 yards.

#8 Atlanta Falcons - The Falcons have Michael Turner. Turner has 1,062 yards and 8 touchdowns. Jason Snelling the second running back did not practice because of a hamstring.

#9 Jacksonville Jaguars - They are on top of their division and the running game is partly responsible. Maurice Jones-Drew is a top back in the league. He has 1,177 yards and 4 touchdowns. David Garrard is a mobile quarterback and has 200 yards.

#9 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Bucs are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Several backs have contributed to gain rushing yards LeGarrette Blount has the most yards with 599 and 5 touchdowns.

#29 Denver Broncos - When a team is losing they have a difficult time staying out of the bottom rankings. Their running game has Knowshon Moreno as their top rusher at 633 yards and 4 touchdowns.

#30 Arizona Cardinal - This is a major reason the Cardinals are having trouble this year. It is one of many reasons. Tim Hightower has 519 yards and three touchdowns. The good news is that he is averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Playing from behind does not help the running game.

#31 Seattle Seahawks - A tie in the division and the running game can improve. Neither Justin Forsett or Marchawn Lynch are racking up big numbers this year. Forsett is averaging 4.6 yards a carry and 469 yards for the season.

#32 Indianapolis Colts - If you want to point fingers and the reason why the Colts are suffering here it is. Joseph Addai has 406 yards for the season and only 3 touchdowns.

Rushing Defense

#1 Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers have lead the league this season in this area. It is a good area to dominate. Defense can win championships and rushing defense is even better.

#2 Chicago Bears - The Bears are also on top of their division. The rushing defense is a major part of this reason. They dominate in the middle only allowing 10.4 yards a game.

#3 New York Giants - Another team on top of their division with the Philadelphia Eagles. Having a top rush defense should help the Giants get into the playoffs as either the division champions or wild card.

#4 Jacksonville Jaguars - They are leading their division over the Indianapolis Colts. This is a surprise to the league but a top rush defense can explain what is happening. Their biggest weakness is the middle of the field but that is being picky.

#5 New York Jets - The Jets are not on top of their division right now. They are a top team and should make the playoffs.

#28 Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins - These teams are both tied for the 28th spot. These teams are similar in the fact that they have high expectations with good play earlier in the season. This run defense is part of the reason they are both slipping.

#30 Indianapolis Colts - Struggling this season and this is another reason why. The Colts need to stop the run if they want to get Peyton Manning on the field.

#31 Arizona Cardinals - A team does not want to be on a bottom ranking and the Cardinals are there more often. This is a disappointing season for the Cardinals.

#32 Buffalo Bills - The Bills are a good team with a bas run defense. If this area is improved the Bills will become a top contender in the NFL quickly.

2010 Fantasy Football Player Rankings

!±8± 2010 Fantasy Football Player Rankings

Fantasy Football player rankings are very useful when executing your fantasy football online drafts or establishing your pre-rankings for your offline drafts. When evaluating the NFL players, we assumed a standard league scoring configuration. The configuration assumes a starting roster of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 D/ST. Points are awarded for the following actions:

Passing: 1 point for every 25 yards, 4 points for each Touchdown, and negative 2 for each Interception

Rushing: 1 point for every 10 yards, 6 points for each Touchdown, and negative 2 for each fumble lost

Receiving: 1 point for every 10 yards, 6 points for each Touchdown

Kicking: 3 points for every Field Goal made and 1 point for each successful Extra Point

Defense: 2 points for every fumble covered, 2 points for every interception, 1 point for every sack, 2 points for each shutout and 2 points for each safety

There are many other statistics and scoring systems that can be used, so make sure to make adjustments to the rankings based on scoring differences found in your league.

NFL Predictions 2008 - 2009

!±8± NFL Predictions 2008 - 2009

It's easy to pick the Giants, Cowboys, Patriots, or Colts. I am sure they won't all falter this year and some upcoming teams are ready to challenge. The NFL powerhouses are due for a fall. After all, the Giants had a second place division finish and made the predictable - unpredictable again. You have to love the chances of the Vikings, Saints, Bills, Browns, Jaguars, and Raiders. They will be the most improved teams who could challenge for it all.

2008 National Football Conference

NFC EAST

Dallas - Runs away from this division. Runs all the way to the Conference final. Romo falls for Vikings cheerleader who spikes Vikes Gatorade with Ex-Lax.

NY Giants - Sometimes everything falls into place. This year they will struggle to be a Wild Card and then it's all over for repeating.

Washington - Improved team, Enough to beat the Giants in the Wild Card game.

Philadelphia - Just don't have all the pieces in place.

NFC NORTH

Minnesota - Purple offensive monsters crush Dallas in the Conference final for a Super Bowl birth. Ex Lax makes them run faster.

Green Bay - Good all around strength but not good enough this year.

Detroit - How can a team go on and on without a quality quarterback?

Chicago - How can a team go on and on without a quality quarterback?

NFC SOUTH

New Orleans - Will be more consistent this year. Brees has a great year and defense picks it up a notch.

Carolina - Too much expectation and not consistent enough.

Tampa Bay - Boring. Boring. Boring.

Atlanta - Do they send the rejects here or are they created here?

NFC WEST

Seattle - Very well-rounded team. Could go all the way.

Arizona - Please change the name of the team to the Desert Rams.

St. Louis - Please change the name of the team to the Cardinals.

San Francisco - Please change the team.

2008 American Football Conference

AFC EAST

New England - Easy schedule poor training for playoffs. Bill Belichick is hung in effigy after Pats get bumped out by Jags.

Buffalo - Young defense gets monster-like. Will lose the Conference final to the Jags breaking the hearts of Buffalo fans again.

NY Jets - Not Brets fault but Farve gets carved with hapless Jets. Fans want everyone fired or executed.

Miami - The Tuna, the Dolphins, Ricky Williams. This is a very cheap version of a junior Cowboy team. Can somebody spell Q u a r t e r b a c k?

AFC NORTH

Cleveland - A year away from going all the way. They should watch old Browns black and white movies with Carlings Black Label commercials. Fake like they are hurt and kill guys like Jim Brown did.

Pittsburgh - Can look great - and then very average. Browns overtake them.

Cincinnati - Carson Palmer should demand a trade. Great talent on overrated team.

Baltimore - Locker room poison begins to flourish. Good team - no chemistry.

AFC SOUTH

Jacksonville - Defensive monsters go all the way to Conference Final.

Indianapolis - Not enough Marvin Harrison or Defense. Payton bring them back - next year.

Tennessee - Good team with ugly uniforms. Should watch old John Hadl Charger films. No passing - no playoffs.

Houston - Improved defense and team with very cool uniforms gets steadily better but not good enough yet.

AFC WEST

San Diego - Look for a little losing streak to start the finger pointing.

Oakland - Everyone will hate them. Except the Raider Nation. Now if they only had Lamonica.

Denver - Continues to dive. Jay Cutler would take Green Bay a long way but not this team.

Kansas City - Abner Haynes returns. These are not the Super Chiefs.

AFC - Jacksonville over Buffalo - as Bills miss controversial two point conversion to win it. Fans destroy Wilson stadium forcing the Bills to become the Toronto Maple Leafs.

NFC - Vikings over Cowboys - in a romp. Cowboys immediately trade Romo to the Dolphins for the Tuna. Jerry Jones gets face lift and now looks like Joan Rivers. Little Bum Phillips is elected coach of the year for putting up with more crap than any coach in history.

Super Bowl -Halftime show is Michael Phelps swimming 14 consecutive 200m swims across Tampa Stadium. Raiders Al Davis signs him as a tight end.

Tarvaris Jackson is injured as time winds down with the Jags up on the Vikes by 6. Gus Frerotte leads game ending drive as the Minnesota Vikings win the Super Bowl. Adrian Peterson gains 200 yds. with 3 TD's to become MVP.

Healthy Body = Functional Body. Hollywood Look Side Effect: Healthy Function

My Grandparents chose to love each other when they met as teenagers, and then, they chose to love each other every part of every day, through the Great Depression, through absence during war, child rearing, work, illnesses... Life. Finding TRUE love? They met... And That was it. Again, the true love part was a daily choice whether either was as attractive or as exciting as the day they met. True love depends on each person, not just the one you find or the one that finds you. In other words, Love is a Choice, because we are not 110% lovable 24 hours a day. True love is when each person sees that real life is not like a romance movie script True love is accepting the fact of real life, which brings creative challenges that, with the choice to love, can increase attraction. Popular novels, songs, shows, movies... Each have scripts that are no doubt, inspired. The talented people that write and act, the hundreds or thousands of people that are the list of credits at the end of a movie - from the accountants to the doctors to the musicians and screenwriters - They work on projects that, as finished masterpieces, may often have coincidental similarities to your definition of romance and the most often undefined and over-used phrase... "true love" Again, the credits behind movies, books, shows and songs... include a lot of people. Why, because such productions are intentionally crafted to touch our deepest self. So, they are edited for perfection, music and effects and colors ...
